Meeting with the nervous Groom

I arrived at Narrabeen SLSC for a beach wedding, the weather forecast was 70% chance of rain. I met up with Paul our groom and his supportive team of groomsmen Claudio, Dino, Gabriel and Steve.

Paul was nervous and not too keen on having photos taken, however my casual approach made him realize that it wasn’t a painful process after all therefore he felt at ease.[/vc_column_text][vc_masonry_media_grid style=”lazy” items_per_page=”5″ element_width=”12″ grid_id=”vc_gid:1519283822600-1580ff07-7917-5″ include=”325,327,326″][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]

The Bride arrives

With the clouds looming overhead, organizers were tossing if the ceremony should be moved indoors as the showers were unpredictable, but decision was made to stick it out, if it rained then we all make a dash for cover.

Anya our beautiful bride arrives on time with her dad Andrew, her mum Maria was always nearby to help. Anya’s support team were bridesmaids Bianca, Ailish, Bec and Charlie.

Suddenly the clouds broke away and the sun shined… is that a good omen or what?[/vc_column_text][vc_masonry_media_grid style=”lazy” items_per_page=”5″ element_width=”12″ grid_id=”vc_gid:1519283822604-89b7bba8-a5e6-6″ include=”328″][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]

The ceremony

The music started, Anya in the arms of her dad Andrew walked down the grassy path towards the floral archway. A quick pan to my left I managed to catch Paul‘s expression watching his bride getting closer and closer till they held hands eager to say ‘I Do’.

The ceremony went on and were announced husband and wife. A planned group shot was quickly captured whilst the heavens waited, a high vantage point from the venue’s balcony did the trick.[/vc_column_text][vc_masonry_media_grid style=”lazy” items_per_page=”5″ element_width=”12″ grid_id=”vc_gid:1519283822606-097681f0-1b3f-1″ include=”329,330,331,332,333,334,336,337,335,338″][vc_column_text]

A quick dash to get some photos

The Bridal party headed for the beach. Not taking chances with the threatening clouds, I asked the girls to take off their shoes and be barefoot on the sand, to their delight they sprang into action.

Clouds above started gathering and I knew I had to work fast, I got all the shots needed and suddenly it started to sprinkle, a hint that we should head back, we made a quick sprint to the venue reasonably dry.[/vc_column_text][vc_masonry_media_grid style=”lazy” items_per_page=”5″ element_width=”12″ grid_id=”vc_gid:1519283822615-e52163ba-2863-0″ include=”339,346,347,348,350″][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]

More photos before my time was up

After that quick dash to the reception, I got few more formal shots before my time was up as I was only hired for the ceremony and pre-reception photo shoots.

I consider myself a lucky and fortunate man to be in a job I love. I want to thank Anya and Paul for putting trust in my abilities to photograph one of the most important days of their lives. I also want to thank Amanda Holland from SLSC for recommending me to this beautiful couple, the venue is so refreshing and beautiful, I look forward to working there again.[/vc_column_text][vc_masonry_media_grid style=”lazy” items_per_page=”5″ element_width=”12″ grid_id=”vc_gid:1519283822619-580fc30c-c76e-1″ include=”345,344,343,342,341,340″][vc_column_text]Credits:
